On Sunday, June 29, 2016, I participated with 20 co-workers in the Seattle Pride Parade. It was quite a wonderful experience filled with an enormous amount of love and support for the local and worldwide LGBTQ communities. We assembled around 10am and I wandered about the parade area while we waited to march. I think around 1pm we began the 3 mile walk to Seattle Center where the enormous SeattlePrideFest had already begun. The Seattle Times estimated there were 500,000 people there.

I learned that the parade and the festival are managed by two different organizations. Please visit both websites to learn more:

Portland Pride Parade in 2005

I had not been to a Pride event since 2005 in Portland. I just discovered these photos I took when I was freshly returned to Portland from three years in Florida.
